Allergies and Shedding |

| More and more people are developing allergies these days due to increased allergens in the world we live in. Approximately 15% of these are pet allergies. The animal's dander (not the hair itself) is normally what causes the allergic reaction. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Typically dogs with non-shedding coats are recommended for people who suffer with allergies. This is where the breeding of the poodle with the labrador comes in, since the poodle features a non-shedding coat. The idea in breeding the two is to develop a dog with low allergens, and little to no shedding. Many Labradoodles have been found to not cause allergy sufferers a reaction. Again being exposed to the dog, as each Labradoodle will have a different coat, is the best way to find out if you're allergic to them or not. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| The only breed that won't shed any hair would be a hairless one. Shedding for the dog is the same as humans loosing hair, it allows new growth to come in. The difference being humans loose a little hair daily, where many dog breeds shed their fur seasonally. | ||||||||||||||||||||
